Join myself (Ollie) and my Partner Amber as we take you on a trip of a lifetime to the Solomon Island's exploring the Marovo Lagoon.

This is truly one of the most incredible places on earth with lush jungle and rainforests meeting the crystal clear waters below in one of the most untouched stunning places I have ever visited and the reason I keep returning here to explore this paradise and it's amazing people and culture. This is not just a Spearfishing expedition, this is the chance to meet a bunch of like minded people forming some new amazing friendships, gain a new perspective on life and believe me, you will leave this trip refreshed, revitalized, and wanting to return to this incredible place.

All-inclusive, except flights — which we’ll book for the group at a discounted rate (Approx $1300 per person return from Brisbane, Australia)

Getting There:

A 3-hour flight from Brisbane gets you to Honiara/Munda, followed by a 1-hour flight to Seghe. From there, enjoy a scenic 2-hour boat ride to Driftwood Eco Lodge - Our Accommodation for the trip.

Upon booking, we will help to arrange flights to the Solomon Islands as part of a group booking!

Accommodation: 

You will stay in one of the beautiful Bungalows crafted from the local hardwoods, mixed with modern touches. It will be shared accommodation. These amazing bungalows are situated amongst the pristine jungle and rainforest where you will encounter fire flies at night and hear the ocean just footsteps in front of your accommodation.

Equipment:

You will need to bring all of your own diving equipment except for lead weights which will be provided to save you on luggage weight.

Spearguns: This is a mixture of Bluewater and Reef Spearfishing so plan accordingly. 

Wetsuits: Lycra or 1-2mm max as water temps are 29-30 degrees celcius.

Weather:

25-30 degrees clecius.

Spearfishing Ability:

While we welcome anyone to join this expedition, to maximize your diving experience, being able to dive down to 10-15m will greatly help your chances of landing fish. A mixture of reef diving and also blue water sea mounts and more with weather permitting will give us a wide arrray of options. Regardless of your ability, this place with it's unique drop off terrain and unique challenges will have you leaving this trip a better more experienced diver.

Attitude:

We welcome those with a chilled out vibe, happy to go with the flow as Nature and fishing/diving always changes from day to day and week to week. Let's enjoy this amazing place, not get caught up in hunting that one 'trophy' fish and enjoy this place for all it offers. If you are happy to cruise you will love this trip and create life long memories and friendships.

Food:

3 Meals daily are served by the lovely local chefs which will utilize our fresh daily catch along with fresh organic veggies fruits and more from the local produce. The Food is amazing, I am sure you will love it!

Spearfishing:

Ollie will be the head guide, having been returning to drifwood for close to 5 years, he knows the reefs well. Local guides know the place even better and will help out with everyone and teach you how to hunt the local terrain and improve your diving.

There are plenty of extra excursions at a small fee to the local guides who will show you the area and make your trip even more special.

-Caving tour in fossilized cave with Bats, Fresh water Shrimp and amazing cave and fresh water.

-Guided Jungle Trek learning plant medicine, history and about the local fauna and uses.

-Bow and arrow making

Daily Adventures:

We will be going with the flow as is needed with weather and sea conditons. This will dictate where we dive for example local reefs or further out to sea mounts etc.

Some days will be half days, some Full days. You have the option to join any trips or simply relax back at the stunning tranquil lodge and unwind and rest. No pressure at all.

Travelling with gear:

If this is your first international trip. No need to worry, it's super easy. We recommend a good dive bag or Sportube to carry your gear.

Exclusions:

-Flights to Brisbane where the group booking to the Marovo lagoon will begin

Travel Insurance:

This is a must. This is a remote location, and if things go wrong you need to make sure you are covered and can get cared for properly.

We recommend getting travel cancellation insurance upon booking your spot on the trip, to save you any financial hardships if you need to cancel your trip. You can get travel insurance that covers this.

You must have travel insurance before leaving Australia to join this trip.

Refunds:

-$1000 NZD deposit is non-refundable and cannot be used as credit.

-Any amount paid beyond the deposit can be used as credit for future trips.

-Cancel less than 90 days: no refund, but you can transfer your spot to someone else.

-No-shows: full charge, no refund.
